Wolfe has five two-year-olds and seven older performers here for various owners. The juveniles, which are the property of Amos Wallin and W. C. Goodloe, are Virbet, Good Looks, Big Thrill, Surprising and Mokena. The older brigade includes Left Over, Congenial, Shady Gate, Caroline C, Forest Avenue, Urata and Dallas. Roy Craig, who arrived from California Friday, accepted his first mount on Liz F. in the Waggoner Refinery Purse, which opened the program Saturday. He will ride the Bubbling Over filly in the Juvenile Stakes. Craig is a brother to Arthur Craig, contract rider for the Fishburn Stable, and he was ordered to report here after Arthur Craig suffered an attack of influenza. Apprentice J. Wagner and Guy Lunsford, his agent, arrived from Hot Springs Saturday morning. William Weant, was granted stalls for six horses and they were due here Sunday. Prince Fox, champion handicap horse of the Epsom Downs season heads the sextette. George F. Jenkins arrived Saturday morning from Hot Springs with five thoroughbreds, while Mrs. M. Andre of Dallas, unloaded Daisy Cutter from the Arkansas resort. Several carloads of horseflesh will be unloaded Sunday from Hot Springs, which closed its season Friday. One of the outstanding horses coming from the track is the Geneseo Stables Whizzaway, an eligible for the 5,000 Texas Derby. 1. -
