ANCELOT, never far from the pace, came strongly approaching the stretch turn to pass BILL ANDt on the outside and drew out to a handy win. BILL ANDY opened up a long lead while setting the pace, but tired and bore out near the end. IDA S. showed improvement and was well up all the way. PANIC BLUES was not good enough. COURT an eighth out, bested the latter in a hard drive to the wire; SUPREME COURT, well rated, moved to the front of BARCAROLLE in the back stretch and opened up a good lead approaching the stretch turn, but swung wide on the turn, then came again and was racing gamel at the end. HAPPY HELEN saved ground where possible and showed a creditable effort. BARCAROLLE tired in the stretch. KENT raced close up under as much restraint as his rider was capable of applying in the early stages, but flattened out when called upon. AIR SQUADRON seemed outclassed. Scratched 08718 R. D. TOP ROW, close to the pace under restraint in the early running, came strongly on the outside approaching the stretch to easily take command and won as his rider pleased. THOMASVILLE displayed better early speed than usual and, after making an unsuccessful attempt to head DARK WINTER on the far turn, caught the latter on the stretch turn, but was soon headed by TOP ROW and raced well to the end. .SAND BABYj outrun early, made up ground in the stretch. DARK WINTER showed good form in setting the pace, but tired in the last eighth. SPICSON, weakly handled, was in close quarters several times and had little chance. OLD TUCK went to the front rounding the first turn to draw into a good lead and was never threatened, although shaken up at midstrotch. VAGABOND improved his position steadily in the last half mile and raced well to the finish. SCHOONER had early speed, but tired in the run home. ACCORDER closed some ground.
