MAKES OFFER FOR BLUEBEARD LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 8. Through her trainer, Arthur Goldblatt, Mrs. R. B. Fairbanks, wife of the Indianapolis publisher, today opened negotiations for Bluebeard, three-year-old son of Blue Larkspur, which William R. Coe, of New York, named for the Kentucky Derby. Mrs. Fairbanks, a recent recruit to the owners ranks, has a stable of ten head at Churchill Downs. She made an inspection of her horses yesterday at which time Goldblatt was advised to obtain a price on Bluebeard. Near dinner time this evening Pete Coyne worked Chance Sun, J. E. Wideners Derby favorite, seven furlongs at Churchill Downs in 1:35. He worked through a driving rain.
