BAYDROP had good early speed, took command at once, drew into a safe lead on the back stretch and was never threatened, winning with much in reserve. DENCLAIRE gradually worked her way to a contending position and closed fast, but was no match for the winner. THISTLE DUST, always a forward factor, saved ground and hung on well. CENTERMARCH raced evenly and finished stoutly. MISS DONOVAN made up some ground. BARTER had some speed, but quit, as did GIFT O GAB. The latter lacked early speed to" keep up with the leaders, gradually improved her position when finding her best speedy but was no match for fhe winner. STICKNOT raced, evenly and closed well. ROCK CREST, reserved in the early racing, secured racing room on the inside entering the stretch, drew into the lead, but had to be hard ridden, to stall off GAFFING. The latter, always a forward factor, came to the outside of the leaders entering the stretch and, closing stbutly, just failed to get up. HEAP GOOD, fractious at the post as usual, outbroke the field, had good early speed, but faltered. BABE GAIETY faced evenly and hung on well. CANDY POT had good early speed, but quit in the drive. ROCHE DOR could not improve his position. COUNTY COURT had no excuse. The latter, close up from the beginning, closed stoutly. LADY MARNOCK, rated behind .the pace, encountered interference when attempting to go through on the far turn and closed strongly when clear. LISTARO dropped far out of it in the early racing and gradually improved his position. WORTHING quit.
