OMAHA ATTEACTS HOESES OMAHA, Neb., May 28. T. J. "Tommy" Carroll, who is here in the interests of the Thoroughbred Horsemens Association, expressed the opinion that there would bo a dearth of racing material at many of the tracks during the next two months, but added, that "Ak-Sar-Ben is quite fortunate in having a rather good grade of horses." Carroll came to Omaha recently from Kansas City where he successfully obtained an increase in purses for members of the organization and was profuse in his praise of the amiable manner in which matters were handled. He plans to remain here for several weeks, perhaps, the entire meeting. Carroll, however, does not contemplate any difficulties with the Omaha authorities, as all is serene and a wholesome good spirit exists between owners and the operators of Ak-Sar-Ben,
