BROOKS THROWN HEAVILY LATONIA, Ky., May 28. Apprentice R. Brooks narrowly escaped injury when he was unseated soon after the start of the seventh race, when Chana was caught in a jam, stumbled and threw the youngster to the ground with violent force. Brooks was taken from the track in ah unconscious condition but was revived soon after arriving --at the track hospital. An examination revealed a few minor bruises.
