SALLIE GRAY outclassed her company, raced on the inside to the stretch, was taken outside, overhauled EARL BAKER and won under mild pressure. The latter, fractious at the post, broke well, took command early, continued well to the final eighth, but gave way when challenged and just lasted for second plaice. YANTIS, on the inside throughout, improved his position gradually, then closed resolutely in a good perform-nce. ROLANDA raced evenly without mishap. LYNVETE had early speed. OUR MANAGER, reserved early, moved to the lead when urged, continued gamely under hand riding and held sway to the end. HAZY AUTUMN, a strong factor from the beginning, challenged gamely, but was not good enough. FLIGHLETTE displayed good speed for a half mile, then tired. WHITE TOP was weakly handled. SHADOW SONG raced well. TABORA broke fast, but lacked speed. WHITE TOP, OUR MANAGER and SHADOW SONG delayed .the start. PENMAR, fractious at the post, broke well, was outrun for a half mile, gained fast thereafter, came between horses in the stretch and was under strong pressure to withstand the rush of MUKLUK. The latter, far out of contention fpr a half mile, came fast in the stretch and was wearing down the winner nearing the finish. JOHN MARCUM, away in stride, took command early, continued well to the final eighth, where he began bearing out and lost all chance. PAWN TICKET, prominent throughout, held on well in the drive. BUDDIE TREACY tired. VELLAS CHOICE was outrun. ROLL HOME showed nothing. PONY UP quit. MISS REBECK unseated her rider on the way to the post and gave a bad performance. The latter, widely outrun for a half mile, closed fast and probably would have won in a few more strides. PEACOCK BLUE closed resolutely. BILLY JONES raced well for a half mile. SPORT MARVEL moved up in the stretch and finished gamely. DR. POTTER was outrun. ATHANETTE had no mishaps. PRINCESS IVORY quit. DONNAHONA displaying a startling form reversal, took command after a half mile, continued gamely thereafter and outlasted MOUNAINY MAN in a strenuous drive. The latter, sharply impeded after the start when CAMPAGNA was brought over sharply, gained gradually thereafter, reached the winner at the sixteenth post, but was not good enough. BOOMS PAL closed resolutely. BATTLING GIRL raced well. . EGEON was outrun. ALMAC could not improve his position. JESSIE DEAR quit. PEEDEEQUE and CAMPAGNA were eased when they could - not keep up.
