1 BELMONT PARK NOTES Thomas Pendergast, Kansas City sportsman, arrived, from his home for a brief visit. Plat Eye, owned by the Greentree Stable, following a mile trial Tuesday morning, was shipped to Rockingham Park for his stake engagement there. Gillie, which was also tested at a mile and a quarter, was loaded and shipped to La-tonia for the Latonia Derby. The latter will be returned to Belmont Park after his race and may be a starter in the Belmont Stakes. Trainer Will Hurley is due here on Thursday from Chicago, with Black Helen and Bloodroot. The former is a candidate for the Coaching Club American Oaks. Demonstration and The Mauler, owned by Mrs. Silas B. Mason, will be shipped to Dun-treath Farm to be "turned out for the year. Sun Portland, which is at Detroit, will be returned to Belmont Park after fulfilling his engagement at that point.
