SPUR FLOWER, never far back and under strong riding after three-eighths, took command quickly soon after reaching the stretch and, continuing well, held sway thereafter, but had little left. TIDEWATER, forced to lose ground throughout, bettered its position fast when entering the stretch, but tired near the end, yet outstayed GEO. GABLE. The latter, a strong factor from the start, held on with good courage. MIN ORMONT, slow to respond to light pressure, finished fast on the inside. DOWN IN FRONT tired after showing speed to the stretch. FAIRISK, on the inside throughout, also faltered after showing speed for a half mile. REAPING REWARD, fractious at the post but away fast, raced into clear command under urging easily, increased his margin in the stretch, but was shaken up in the final eighth. PRAIRIE DOG, quick to begin and steadied along to the stretch, closed well under light urging. ROME HAUL was. under strong riding throughout and held on fairly well. BIOLOGIST dropped back, but came again. DARK FRIEND raced well. BRIGHT LAND lost ground. HERMOSILLO began slowly and was far back throughout. HOME GROWN began poorly. MISS GREENOCK, on the inside throughout arid having the most speed from the start, continued well following a mild shaking up soon after reaching the stretch and appeared to have something left. OVER YONDER, a factor from the start, was under strong urging in the final quarter and fought it out gamely. FLAVOR was jostled about early and, closing well, was wearing down OVER YONDER. TEDDY HASLAM came with a rush on the outside in the stretch. SKY PIRATE was in close quarters soon after reaching the stretch, but tired when clear. OTTOMAN tired badly. SHINING HOUR showed little. TONEYS GIRL raced greenly, but settled down in the final eighth and was going strongly at the close. MISS GRAVITY, taken back at the start, made up ground, but was never dangerous. DORA MAY, hustled into command and given a breathing spell on the turn, slightly increased her advantage entering the stretch and tired in the final sixteenth, but stalled off MARY TERRY. The latter raced wide, closed with determination under strong handling and was slowly getting to the winner. BRENDARD a factor from the start, suffered repeated interference from ALBANIA and held on well, though kept in close quarters by MARY TERRY in the final sixteenth. COTTINGHAM raced well. STEPINANNA had no mishaps. MISS DIAVOLO bore over badly in the stretch. ALBANIA had speed from the start, swerved repeatedly and tired after five-eighths. BLEU showed nothing. ALMARINE forced the pace under restraint and held on well after wearing down LAWYER BRIGADE, but failed to hold the winner safe. EMVEE, fractious at- the post, was forced to lose ground on the stretch turn and closed well when straightened out in the last three-sixteenths. SPICSON, taken back repeatedly, also lost ground and tired after making a bid m the stretch. JONNIE NUCHOLS had no excuses. BIG GAWK gave way badly when placed to pressure in his dull effort.
