FORM NEW CANADIAN STABLE J. F. Cosgrave and E. P. Taylor Engage Bert Alexandra to Form New String. TORONTO, Ont., April 27. Trainer Bert Alexandra, formerly associated with the Erindale Stable, has been commissioned by two newcomers to the sport, J. F. Cosgrave and E. P. Taylor, both of Toronto, to purchase racing material in Maryland to form the nucleus of a stable which, according to all. intents and purposes, will take a prominent place among the Canadian racing establishments this year. The first call, it is reported, will be made at the A. G. Vanderbilt farm, where Mr. Alexandra hopes to obtain some young stock. It is quite evident the latest additions to local owner ranks are only going to be satisfied with the best. Madfast was purchased by Messrs. Cos-grave and Taylor from Bert Alexandra, and the latter has been given carte blanche to spend up to 0,000 in rounding out a capable string of ten or twelvve racers. The new silks, which have already been registered with the I. C. R. A., will be a welcome addition to Canadian racing.
