MISS DOLPHIN assumed command leaving the back stretch, opened up a long lead under stout urging, but had to be hustled hard near the finish to stall off HARRYS DREAM. The latter followed closest to the winner from the beginning, rallied to punishment and was gaining strongly at the close. AMERICA FIRST Lettered its position on the. outside and closed strongly in the late stages. TIDY LADY was hurried along all the way and held on courageously. MONOLOGUE closed a good gap after being shuffled back early. FRISCO KID made a determined bid when reaching the stretch, but tired under a hard drive. OVERPLAY could not reach a forward position. SNOBBY SCAMP, prominent during the early running, rallied gamely under a hard drive in the last three-sixteenths, closed stoutly between the leaders and was up in the last few strides. BOOCORD was rushed hard to enter a forward position after being slow to get going, worked his way to the front in the last eighh, but tired right at the end. ADAMS EVE snowed good speed while setting the pace, saved ground all the way, but failed to stay when collared. JUSTA GLIDER raced forwardly placed, but could not threaten seriously when the final test came. CANTERSINE made a stout effort when leaving the back stretch, but tired under punishment in the last quarter mile. BUDDY BOO was unable to menace. TRUJILLO, going in his best form and following within striking distance of the leaders, swung to the outside when moving up at the stretch turn, engaged the leaders in the closing eighth, then drew out swiftly approaching the finish when kept under pressure. LAURA S. held a forward position all. the way and came gamely in the closing stages. IRON ORE raced MAY V. into submission in the first five-eighths, saved ground, but tired in the closing eighth. MAY V. had good speed from the start, but was not good enough. LETTER BOX, slow to settle into her stride, closed a good gap in the last half mile. CABLEGRAM was unable to enter a contending position. MIXED GOODS was held safe. BLACK TOREADOR showed a flash of early speed. The others were never dangerous. Scratched 24778 Gaylass, 103. JEAN BART raced well placed on the outside from the start, closed with good speed, but was not good enough. DEFLATE raced with GREEN MIST in the lead and tired from her efforts to force the pace. NIGHT PLAY raced evenly, but could not threaten. PATSEY BEGONE had no excuses. ROSSELLI lacked speed and was never a factor. GREEN MIST displayed good early speed to set the pace, but quit badly. The latter gained fast in the last five-sixteenths and was racing stoutly nearing the end. PALAMEDE, restrained off the early pace, secured racing room on the inside in the last half mile and closed with excellent courage. MISS CAREFUL moved up resolutely when nearing the stretch, offered a bold bid midway of the stretch, but tired right at the end. CONQUER displaced TEMPESTUOUS without effort midway of the back stretch, raced into a clear lead, but quit suddenly in the last quarter. TEMPESTUOUS began tiring after three-quarters. The latter, slow to settle into her stride, worked her way up steadily in the last half mile, overcame interference entering the stretch when coming through between horses and finished stoutly. BOBS BOY raced strongly from the beginning and continued determinedly when the final test came. BALTIMORE BOY showed good speed while setting the early pace, but tired fast when overhauled.
