Bold Venture, He Did, The Fighter, Granville and Other Stars Among the Nominations. ... - » DETROIT, Mich., May 16.— That the Detroit Derby, 5,000 added, at a mile and three-sixteenths, to be run on June 13 and which closed Friday, will be as its renewals have been in the past, a great horse race, was evidenced today when Maurice Arons-son, secretary of the Detroit Racing Association, released the entries to the race. These may be subject to some additions, as all entries dated May 15 will be eligible under the racing rules. Fifty-three of the best colts and fillies in the United States, including every Derby winner up to date except | Brevity, have been listed as prospective starters. The Derby winners to date which have been entered in the race are Rushaway, winner of the Louisiana Derby; He Did, winner of the Los Angeles Derby; Holl Image, winner of the Arkansas Derby; The Fighter, winner of the Texas Derby, and Bold Venture, winner of the Kentucky Derby. From the East the Belair Stud has sent four entries, Granville, Isolater, Merry Pete and Royal Fox, and the Wheatley Stable, which is also under the management of James Fitzsimmons and Mrs. Ogden Phipps, have sent Teufel, Snark and White Cockade.
