1 ARLINGTON DOWNS NOTES Q 4 Virgil Oden has been engaged to train the horses that race under Mrs. M; Johr"s colors. R. A. Coward is shipping the main division of the Coffey and Coward Stable to Narragan-sett Park and five others will be sent to Riverside Park in charge of J. O. Thomas. Frank Haldy is transferring the C. Andrade HL and Dallas Stable stock to the Rhode Island track in the same car with the Coffey and Coward charges. A car containing the horses owned by Mrs. R. O. Burns and those owned and trained by J. J. Baumbach left here Tuesday for Aurora. B. A. Jones loaded the second division of the Woolford Farm stable and it left for Churchill Downs. Eugene Lutz returned from Cleveland, where he went to inspect the nine horses he has quartered at his farm in charge of William Lutz. While there he gave the contract he held on Donald Grant to the lads father. The Lutz horses will be shipped to Detroit a couple of weeks before the opening of the Michigan season. Paul Waggoner will depart next Sunday for Louisville, Kyn to witness the Three Ds colt, Heelfly, run in the Kentucky Derby. Apprentice Sammy Roberts, who suffered minor cuts and bruises when thrown from Marchline at the finish of the second race Saturday, was at the track Monday and will leave tomorrow for his home in Kansas City, where he will vacation for several days before proceeding to Churchill Downs. At the latter track he will report to Ben Jones, his contract employed. A draft of the E. K. Bryson stable will be shipped to Illinois to partake in the meeting at Aurora, which is scheduled to open Saturday. Jockey Tyrus Meloche will depart for Aurora, where a leading stable is dickering for his services for the Illinois season. William Crump has secured stalls at La-tonla for the division of the King Ranch stable he has here and it will go forward at the close of this meeting. Judge Hileman has listed the following stables for the Grove City season: J. G. Angner, L. J. Diller, J. R. Derden, E. Es-lick, W. M. Emerson, W. J. Hyde, T. B. Miller, A. A. May, H. Smart, E. Tiller, W. Hinphy and a division of the O. L. Foster stable. Frank Otis, who has been serving as patrol judge, has succeeded C. L. Bogen- schutz as placing judge. Eddie Flynn was appointed patrol Judge.
