ACAUTAW raced close to JUSTA PLAY for the first three-quarters, responded readily when shaken up, took command midway of the final turn and, hustled along to the finish, outstayed GRAINGER. The latter, forwardly placed in the early racing, "rallied when shaken up and finished determinedly in the final drive. ZINNIA raced in spots during the first three-quarters, then closed resolutely when placed to punishment. HAPPY FLAG was gaining slowly in the final stages. ADAMITE raced very wide at the first turn and was kept on the outside for the balance of the trip. JUSTA PLAY was steadied until challenged, then tired after being overhauled. ADDIS ABABA, going in his best form and a stout factor in the early running, wore down SKYRIDE at the turn out of the back stretch, saved ground wherever possible and, continuing gamely, was all out at Ihe end. SKYRIDE was vigorously handled, remained close to the winner after being displaced and fought it out courageously. DARLING PAT raced within striking distance of the leaders and held on willingly in the late stages. EL BANDIDO was under stout pressure throughout, but was not good enough. SEA GULL could not engage the leaders. ROYAL TUSCAN was outrun. The others were never dangerous. MOON HARVEST moved into an easy lead, was steadied while saving ground, then held sway until the close. STEEL WORKER raced prominently in the early stages and held on gamely for the final drive. IPSO FACTO was stoutly ridden all the way and finished gamely. TOUCHE raced on the outside all the way and came gamely in the closing stages. PERFECT DEVIL closed a good gap from a slow beginning. VIR-NOCK lacked early speed, was forced to race on the outside and could not reach contention at any time. FLYING FEET began slowly and was never a contender. Won driving; second and third the same. BENJAM, quick to settle into its stride, was a keen factor early, displaced TEDEMA when straightened into the stretch and was strongly ridden to the finish and came out slowly right at the end. GRIM REAPER improved his position on the outside and closed gamely under punishment in the stretch drive. TEDEMA bega,n fast, showed good speed, but tired after reaching the stretch. INDIAN LODGE closed with good courage, but could not threaten the leaders. CATALYSIS was hurried along stoutly, but did not fancy the footing and fell back gradually after a quarter mile. JACK BE NIMBLE was unable to enter into a forward position. PERNIE and RADIO CHARM were never factors. Scratched 40267 Rehearsal, 119. FIFTH RACE 3-4 MILE Out of Chute. HONEY CLOUD, nicely handled and rated wiile setting a steady pace, responded willingly to a strong drive when challenged in the Cnal eighth, then held on courageously and barely lasted long enough to withstand CLINGENDAAL. The latter, going forwardly under light pressure in the early running, moved up gamely when put to a drive, came to the outside and was wearing the winner down steadily approaching the finish. ALEXANDRINE finished with good courage to outstay MARY KEEN, but could not threaten the first two. MARY KEEN showed good speed for five-eighths, then tired. HELEN BAB, going forwardly from the start, engaged MISS TAD midway o! the stretch, but hung after getting into a short lead between calls. THE MAULER dropped far out of contention, but closed a good gap in the last half mile. MISS TAD sprinted into a long lead, saved ground, but tired suddenly in the last ouarter mile. MADDEST, unable to match the early speed of the leaders, trailed the field in the early stages, but closed a good gap in the final quarter mile. BRAVING DANGER raced evenly, but could not better his position. CHIEF YEOMAN could not enter serious contention. ICY WIND quit badly in the final quarter mile.
