MICHIGAN BOYS DAM DIES NEW ORLEANS, La., Dec. 28. Word was received here today by Joe W. Brown of the death of the brood mare Omnipotent, dam of the Louisiana Derby winner Michigan Boy, at Jack Howards Rockwood Farm in Lexington, Ky. Omnipotent slipped twin foals which was the cause of the death of the mare. In addition to Michigan Boy, which raced with much success and is also proving his value as a progenitor of successful racers, Omnipotent was the dam of Michigan Girl. Many years ago Omnipotent raced at the Fair Grounds and was the property of J. L. Pontius, who retired, her for breeding and her first foal was Michigan Boy.
