Good Bid Likely Starting Top Weight For Lincoln Renewal Under J 75 Pounds Challenge Me Pegged at t ► 7 78 but Isnt Expected To Fulfill Engagement STICKNEY, 111., June 20.— H. E. Jacobys Good Bid, who won the La Salle Handicap under 110 pounds, will have to carry 115 in the Lincoln Handicap at Hawthorne Saturday under the weights announced this morning by W. R. Dahlstrom, racing secretary of the Lincoln Fields Jockey Club. With that assignment, the son of Psychic Bid will probably be carrying top weight in the ,000 added run of a mile and a quarter this week-end, for the only eligible above him, the Brolite Farms Challenge Me, who was allotted 118 pounds, is not expected to be in the field. Good Bid was never headed in the La Salle and many believe he will be just as hard to catch over the greater distance of the Lincoln even with the five additional pounds. It may be, however, that he will be best suited by a muddy track, such as the La Salle was decided over. In any case he is certain to be one of the choices for Lincoln Fields closing day feature. Rated closest to Good Bid in the weights s was the Swanee River Stables Corydon, who was assigned 112 pounds, one more than the Happy Hour Farms Devalue and Mrs. Clyde Troutts Take Wing will have to shoulder. Hyman Friedbergs Bolos Choice was given 109 as his impost and from there the weights scale downward to 100 pounds for Mrs. Janet Hoaglins t ► Amalka. Corydon yesterday may have earned himself the chance to start Saturday by finishing second to Lights Abeam in the Glenwood Purse. Lights Abeam, however, is not eligible for the Lincoln. Eighteen horses are eligible for the Lincoln, which will top one of the best programs of the season to date. Another handicap on the card is the Devonshire, a sprint of six furlongs for three-year-olds and upwards for which entries must be made by tomorrow. In addition there is a high grade claiming event at six furlongs and two condition races that should appeal to the owners of better grade horses. The weights for the Lincoln Handicap follow : Challenge Me 118 Good Bid 115 Corydon 112 Devalue 111 Take King 111 Bolos Choice 109 Whose 108 American Eagle 107 Troop Train 106 Darien 106 Latent 106 Twixt 106 Colonel Read 106 Vanflag 105 Flying Hostess 104 Cerberus 104 Meminisse 101 Amalka 100
