FLIGHT DECK, a forward factor from the start, responded in the stretch run and outlasted DARBY DUNSTAN. The latter dwelt at the start, improved his position on the outside and then hung at the finish. PACOLET was sent up fast on the inside and showed a sood effort. WIRE QUEST raced well throughout. KINGS COUNT began slowly. MILITARY MAN had no mishaps. PAPER KNIFE tired. ACE STAR had no mishaps. NEWS BEAT tired badly in the stretch run. OSSABAW was steadied along in the first part, moved into command when ready and had speed in reserve. DANNY DEEVER was outrun in the early stages, responded when urged and finished with a rush. ROUGEMONT was sent into command after the start, set the pace under sufferance and was weakly ridden at the finish. ROYAL HEELS was as good as left and trailed his field throushout. ELPIS, on the outside and under steady restraint, improved her position rounding to the stretch turn, responded when urged in the final quarter, wore down MONSOON and was under hand urging to the end. MONSOON was rated along steadily in the early stages, moved up with a rush at the far turn, assumed command entering the stretch, but could not stave off the winner. SEGULA was eased back off the pace but had no mishaps in the running. RECCE was hustled into command to force the pace, tired in the stretch and was not persevered with.
