George W. Lawless Dies HOLLYWOOD PARK, Inglewood, Calif., June 5. — George W. Lawless, California owner and breeder, died this morning in the Long Beach Hospital, according to word received here today by his trainer, W. R. McGirr. Lawless underwent a leg amputation some weeks ago and appeared on the way to recovery, but complications developed and he died. He was 64 years of age. Lawless is survived by his widow and a stepson.
