CAB SIR was well rated while setting the pace and lasted under intermittent pressure. ELBASAN improved his position steadily, but was not good enough. WESLEY A. was taken up several times while in close quarters on the inside of FLUSTER early, moved into contention boldly, then weakened slightly. FLYING JUNIOR was not good enough. RARE FLARES, badly outrun for a half, circled the field and made a late rush, which carried her to victory over BEANSTALK. The latter was restrained off the early pace, moved through on the inside to take command, but could not hold the winner. PROP MAN was sent into a commanding lead after a half, but weakened in the final test. REX-AVIS weakened after being unable to displace PROP MAN early. CHANCE ACE had no mishap. WELL ALLRIGHT quit. Rex-Avis claimed by Mrs. A. H. Rushl. Prop Man claimed by Mrs. H. Bowyer. Perlina claimed by Mrs J. M. Black. Attendance, 11,782; Total Mutuel Pool, ,059,142. Returned to Public, 43,228, Less Breakage.
