OFF AT 2:17 CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. BOWSTRING, away slowly and raced wide, moved forward gradually after reaching the last five-sixteenths and, holding on determinedly, outstayed VERONA SANDS in the closing strides. The latter displayed speed when improving her position on the turn, got to the front in the drive and held on well, yet was not good enough. STELLA SNYDER, sluggish early, entered contention quickly after straightening up in the stretch and made a determined effort through the last furlong. LADY EASTON also raced well. CHINA PRINCESS had no mishap. ANDYS SIS tired after showing speed to the last three-sixteenths and bore out in the late stages. SOME BID took command quickly, crossed to the inside when clear, lost command while holding on courageously, but caught CREDENTIALS tiring in the closing strides and outfinished him. CREDENTIALS forced the early pace in hand, lost ground entering the stretch and weakened after getting to the front. C0LEY BAY bettered his position gradually and was going stoutly at the end. ZO ZO, a strong factor from the start, swerved slightly when holding on well in the drive. LIASON was racing with good speed at the end. VALDINA BRIGHT gave way suddenly after reaching the last quarter. FAYERBANKE began slowly, lost ground and pulled up sore. OLIDOR dropped out of contention early NELLIE WEED dwelt at the start. WELL PLAY, saved back of the pace and brought to the outside in the stretch, closed determinedly under strong handling and got up in the last stride. JUDGE DAVEY, well in hand for three-quarters, lost ground on the last turn, then took command quickly when straightened, but could not withstand the winners challenge PRAIRIE FLOWER forced the pace in hand and took a clear lead under light urging, but was outfinished by the leaders. BUZZY BOY was under light pressure in the last quarter and held on gamely. SEA LOG showed speed from the beginning and had no mishap. JUDGE SALES came out in the stretch, but could not improve his position. Overweight— Well Play, 2 pounds; Sea Log, 2 Woodmere, 1. Buzzy Boy claimed by Mrs. F. Nugent. Judge Sales claimed by L. D. GABLESTOWN, away fast, opened up a commanding lead in the first quarter, was steadied around the stretch turn, but, placed to urging in the last eighth, probably had little left. WISEPORT had speed from tfcn ?art and held on gamely, yet was held safe by the winner. CHICALMO, sluggish in the early part, closed With good speed. TIGHT GRIP, fractious at the post, began well, failed to keep up, yet closed fast. DOG FA R, also rank at the post, eased himself soon after the start and was far back thereafter. DAILY TROUBLE, away fast and raced wide, was under a snug hold to the stretch, raced into the lead gradually and was kept under hand riding in the last furlong. SIGMA KAPPA, hustled into command on the inside, displayed fine speed while saving ground and held on well. SAND STORM, under energetic riding from the beginning, showed an even effort. CHERRIKO raced well from a slow beginning. K. DORKO, forced back early, was not a threat thereafter. IRON CITY and UNCHALLENGED weakened after showing good speed to the stretch. MAEJAMES was outrun. FAITHFUL MORE, away fast, dropped back gradually until reaching the final quarter, swung to the outside in the stretch and, closing boldly, headed CATCHWEISTA at the end. The latter, placed in front under energetic riding, but taken in hand on the turn, came out slightly when ejitering the stretch, but returned to the inside in the last eighth and, weakening under pressure, railled to hold the winner. MAY FLY, close up from the start and on the inside to the last three-sixteenths, came out for the drive and held on courageously. MY STAR came stoutly soon after reaching the stretch and fought it out gamely in the last eighth. LADY WELCH weakened badly after five-eighths. REAL SWEET was never a factor. EXPEDITER, racing improved, moved up fast on the turn, swept into command with high speed in the stretch and won with something left. OLD KEN-TUCK, away very slowly and swinning to the outside in the first quarter, was in the middle of the track thereafter, then closed boldly in a fine effort. KAMPS REWARD, a forward factor from the beginning, held on resolutely while under light pressure in the last three-sixteenths. JUKE BOX had speed, was well rated, but gave way gradually in the last furlong. AMERICAN EAGLE closed fast in his good performance. MERRY-MARCH displayed fine speed to the last three-sixteenths. DOCKIE had little chance in the stretch due to NANCY FLYS repeated swerving. The latter almost collided with DOCKIE when she swerved entering the last furlong.
