New York HBPA Meets JAMAICA, L. I., N. Y.. May 2.— A meeting of the directors of the New York division of the Horsemen *s Benevolent and Protective Association, presided over by regional vice-president Alex Dumestre, was held at Jamaica last evening. By a unanimous vote, John J. Swisher was elected vice-chairman. A finance committee was also elected, composed of Phil Bieber, Frank Kearns and Sol Rutchick. James Graf was reappointed secretary and treasurer, and it was decided to hold the annual HBPA dinner during the Saratoga meeting in August. Honors, of a sort not yet decided, will be bestowed upon an outstanding member of the racing fraternity at that time.
