LUCIAS SUN outran HER REPLY to the first turn to assume command, was steadied under stout restraint while setting the pace, came out slightly entering the stretch while still clear and continued on under steady pressure. HER REPLY, in closest attendance of the leader, was sent to the inside when straightened in the stretch, but was not good enough NOAHVALE moved with a rush leaving the backstretch, then hung. DRY BELT made up ground in the late stages. AERIAL GUNNER went evenly. CI LIGHT weakened after being forwardly placed. The others were never serious factors. TCHADA, in hand while trailing the field to the far turn, moved up on the outside to gain command before reaching the furlong pole and drew out slightly. HUCKLE DE BUCK, well up on the inside, remained on the rail entering the stretch and pressed the winner under stout pressure. JOBY K. wrested the lead from HIGH FOX, drew clear under urging and held on gamely when challenged, but was not good enough. HIGH FOX, under restraint while surrendering the lead remained with the pace to the final turn, then faltered under a drive. PHARAWELL, unable to keep up early failed to respond to pressure. WAZA WALLA was knocked back when the field bunched and showed nothing thereafter. PLUCKY GLEN forced the early pace, then weakened. Scratched-22154 Nedwin, 111. Overweight— War Agent, 1 pound. CHAIRMAN, in hand for six furlongs, moved into contention with a rush, was taken under light restraint on the far turn, moved when straightened in the stretch on the outside, gained command and drew out slightly. LABOULAYE raced on even terms with AGRARIAN-U for six furlongs, bore outslightly leaving the backstretch, continued to widen advantage on the turn, then drifted out through the stretch. MAGELLAN, well up under restraint, saved ground when set down, but was not good enough. AGRARIAN-U, under strong restraint while forcing the pace was carried slightly wide nearing the far turn, then weakened under a drive. LINWOOD JIM failed to respond when set down. IMA PEARL, benefited when BLENWEED bore out, disposed of ARIDISICAL nearing the far turn, drew into a long lead and was not extended thereafter. ARIDISICAL saved ground after relinquishing command and proved best of the others BROAD DAYLIGHT recovered after being impeded and closed ground. BLENWEED was setting the pace under stout restraint when he bolted entering the backstretch, carrying BROAD DAYLIGHT and GINO GOLD wide was taken in hand and raced on the extreme outside thereafter.
