Sacramento Denies Rumors Of Front Office Shake-Up SACRAMENTO, Calif., May 9 UP.— Ed Sparks, president of the Pacific Coast League Sacramento Solons, today denied rumors that there would be a "shake-up" in club management. Sparks made the statement following a meeting of the clubs majority owners. He said Jo JO White, the clubs general manager, was given a vote of confidence, and there was nothing to rumors that White would be shifted to the field. "Red Kress is still our field manager," Sparks declared. The owners meeting followed the disastrous series in Seattle last week, when the seventh place Solons dropped five out of seven to the last place Rainiers. Meanwhile, White said he is trying to get some help for the Solons, who have won but a single series this season. He said he had been in touch with the Chicago White Sox and was hopeful there would be something forthcoming when the majors scale down teams on May 18.
