Apprentice Charles Collins Shows Promise SPORTSMANS PARK, Cicero, 111., May 9.— After the long-shot, Late Breeze, won the fourth race here this afternoon, horsemen who witnessed the event agreed that the apprentice Charles Collins, who rode the five-year-old, is a reinsman of great promise. Collins is under contract to Arthur Ellsworth Mettz, and has been with that horseman for three years. Mettz gave the boy more favorable mounts during the Oaklawn Park meeting and the boy displayed good form. Collins can "do" 100 pounds, and his engagements are being handled by the veteran, Danny Broic.
