Britain Out of Davis Cup EASTBOURNE, En eland, May 9 UP.— Italy eliminated Britain, 3 to 2, today in the first round of the European Davis Cup matches when the teams split the two final singles matches. Britain evened the count when Tony Mottram beat Rolando del Bello, 6-3, 6-3, 8-6. Then Gianni Cu-celli carried the Italians to triumph with a 6-2, 4-6, 6-4, 8-6 decision over Geoffry Paish.
