Talon Foal Pleases Dr. Greer BURTON, Texas, May 9.— Dr. Alvis E. Greer, owner of the Maidal Nursery here, spent a week at Lexington, Ky., inspecting the broodmares and foals he has at the Kitchens place there. "I have some really magnificent foals. One, by the Argentine stallion. Talon, out of Plain Talk, is simply out of the world," commented Dr. Greer, who would have remained in Kentucky for the Derby had he not been engaged for some medical meetings in the Southwest. Dr. Greer was accompanied by Earl B. Smith, Texas horseman with whom he shares ownership of the stallion, Foray Array, standing here.
