Eddie Barrow to Be Honored .Today at Yankee Stadium NEW YORK, N. Y., May 12.— The Yankees will be honoring 82-year-old Edward Grant Barrow, the baseball genius, at the Stadium today. The event will take place in broad daylight, for which Barrow doubtless will offer up thanks. Ol Ed believes baseballs greatest danger today is not the lack of quality players, but the unbridled trend toward night baseball. Whats more, the man who made the "Yankees what they are today during his quarter-century tenure as front-office boss, has come right put to say so. In an article in Colliers Barrow warns: "Baseball doesnt need a carnival or side show to make it more attractive... I dont like night baseball now and I never did, and there were no lights in the Yankee Stadium until I left." d e e ;- ;s ie d ie s, : Ie *t d, »e
