Chicago, Other Cities Join ABC Plan to Drop Negro Ban COLUMBUS, Ohio, May 12 UP.— Delegates from Chicago, St. Louis and Detroit held secret caucuses today and voted to go along with the American Bowling Congress executive committees recommendation to drop the ban on Negro memberships. On informed source said it was pointed out* to the big city delegations that the ABC probably would lose its charters in various states, including Minnesota, where the tournament will be held next year, unless the "white only" clause in the ABC constitution were eliminated. Delegates to the annual ABC convention here voted to hold the 1952 tournament in Milwaukee. The tournament will be held at Milwaukees new ,000,000 sports arena. The 1951 tourney will be held at St. Paul.
