Chance Cloud Seeks His Third Victory of Lincoln Meet Today Llashes With Humphrey and Inky Rater; Two Events on Turf Course Enliven Card WASHINGTON PARK, Homewood, 111., June 6. — A claiming race,at six furlongs, named the Cavalcade, will hold down the feature place on the eight-race program here tomorrow, and among the starters will be Chance Cloud, winner of five purses this season, including two at this meeting. Chance Cloud, who races for N. L. Raffel-man, a Chicagoan, was claimed, by the latter in Florida last April and has certainly fulfilled the expectations of his owner. The son of the little known stallion, Principal, will be opposed in the Cavalcade by such as the Hasty House Farms English-bred Humphrey, a recent winner here; Henry Forrests Inky Racer, who is fairly consistent; the fillies Pensive Lady and Lasting War, and several others. Two turf races are carded tomorrow, one at one and one-eighth miles, and the other at one and one-sixteenth miles. The longer grass event comes fourth on the program and will have Rocky Sir, First Tenet, and Archibaldo among those going postward.. The other turf affair will find a full field engaged, with the 12-year-old Fate, who is just about the oldest horse on the grounds, being listed as one of those to start. -Miss America Stakes Outlook This week-end feature on the Lincoln Fields agenda will be the Miss America Stakes for two-year-olds. The event closed with 41 nominees, which gives promise of bringing out a. large field for its fourth running. Among those expected to answer the bugle call are Princess Lygia and Whirla Lea, recently winners here; Swell Dish and Fancy Step, who finished first and second, respectively, in the Debutante Stakes at New Orleans; Elaine Ruth, in from River Downs especially for the race, and Miss Break, who was a short-priced f WILLIAM CRUMP— Sent out Seven Trix for the latters winning effort on yesterdays Lincoln Fields program. favorite -over Whirla Lea arid Swell Dish last time out. Nominations for the mile and a quarter Lincoln Handicap, closing day feature of the current meeting, closed Wednesday, and a good line-up is in prospect for the twenty-fourth running of that affair, which was won last season by Dinner Hour.
