Governors Handicap Renewal This Saturday at Beulah Park BEULAH PARK, Grove City, Ohio, May 20. — The thirteenth running of the Governors Handicap, at one and one-sixteenth miles, is scheduled at Beulah Park this Saturday. This race, with a purse of ,500, is for three-year-olds and upward, and highlights the current spring meeting which will end Saturday, May 31. Past winners of the Governors include Best Seller twice, Francesco, High Fidelity, Jacob oy, Mucho Gusto, Sickle Toy, Silver Bull, Total Victory, Brief Sigh, Plentituff and Puddle Jumper. Jacoboy winner of the race a year ago, is owned by Mrs. J. L. Knight and her son, L. J. Knight, of Lexington, Ky. He may attempt to make it two in a row in the thirteenth edition, just emulating the feat of Best Seller, should he succeed. Best Seller, only horse to win the Governors twice, did it in 1942 and 1943.
