Cincinnatians to Fly Colors During River Downs Meeting CINCINNATI, Ohio,. May/ 20.— Several Cincinnatians will fly their silks during the forthcoming 44-day session: at River Downs, which will see the curtain raised on Memorial Day. Among the prominent local stables are the Clermont Farm Stable, owned by Al and Louis "Tick" Scahvel, who currently are racing at Beulah Park: Litwin Bros. Ellis Farm Stable who will be represented by several homebreds; H. J. Husmans Potato Chip Farm. Stable and Froome Barbour, well known local attorney-who will, have a couple of. speedy tricks here. Heavy rains of the past few days has converted the track into a quagmire and it forced an abrupt halt to training activities. However, the weather man is predicting sunshiny weather for the next few days and it will give the trainers; an opportunity to. bring their charges on the track for much needed exercise. Approximately 300 horses are on the grounds and, many of them having raced at other tracks, will only need light work to fit them for the long local meeting, .
