REBEL RAIDER was outrun early and seemed to have but little chance after the first half mile, had been traversed, but came with fine courage well out from the rail in the stretch to take command near the end. THE FLIER _was. a trailer in the first part, then dashed up between horses nearing the stretch turn to find an. opening and was racing well at the end. TROPIC" RAIDER was fairly well placed early and displayed good form. DIME closed with, courage, in the middle of the track. IRISH HORN tired: when the reaL racing began. SANDRE RAE dashed up on the outside soon after the start, and,, heading INSTYLE around the far turn, sprinted out to a, good lead, but her rider found it necessary to urge- her in the last eighth. ASHES was always a good contender and went; gamely to the end, but was doing her besLsto hold. COHERENCE. The latter staged a courageous finish and was, gaining on the first two. COLLEGE challenged early and appeared as if he kj might falter around the far turn, but responded when put to pressure and was pressing the winner at the end. WHIRL. AWHILE was never too far away and was striding well at the end under hard urging.- ECHO ROCK was. going well at, the finish. BELCON tired near the end. ASPHALT sprinted to the front early to draw away from the field on the backstretch and turned for home to a good advantage to be just coasting to the last fifty yards, then had to be hard hand hustled when CHALLCOTE loomed on the inside. CHALLCOTE was outrun early, but saved ground in the stretch to finish strongly and gamely. LIGHT MOON was permitted to get in good stride befgre being sent up, then came between horses and engaged in a mild bumping match with ROBUST in the stretch. FLYING BOLD was ridden with rare confidence in the early part, being permitted to drop some distance back in the early stages, but saved ground while making his move and, hustled to the front after cutting to the inside on the stretch turn, had little trouble holding the others to the end. NEW HOPE responded to urging when called upon, but was not good enough for the winner. PENAWAY had speed and held on fairly well. YARDTOWN was not too far away in a creditable effort. COQUINET was outrun early, but was not hard urged until the last quarter was reached, then came well and, although bearing out in the final sixteenth, had little trouble taking command coming to the wire. NEWSBREAK was rated early and saved ground in the stretch, but was not good enough to last. WORCESTER saved ground while moving up nearing the stretch turn and got to the front in the stretch, but lacked the power to last. CHOW CHOW finished fairly well. KILBELIN TRAFFIC tired.
