Don Newcombe Given Leave. WASHINGTON, D. C, May 20 UP.— Don Newcombe, former Brooklyn Dodger . pitcher, has been given ieave to visit his sick wife in Rahway, N. J., the Army said today. A spokesman said, the visit would force* postponement at least until the middle of next week of completion of a physical examaination being given the righthander at -the Camp Pickett Army hospital. «. The examination may result in Newcombes release from the Army.
