MISS COMEBACK displayed the best speed from the start and drew clear after a furlong, drifted in when faltering near the end lasted over MILSPAL, but was disqualified. The latter was in close attendance of the pace from the beginning, was bothered in the drive, .then was getting to the top one in the late stages. ROAMING, shuffled back entering the turn, came around horses when clear, disposed of HYPALONG just inside the furlong post, then lugged in badly in the final thirty yards and-had to be stoutly restrained to maintain a straight course. PARAMOUNT PETE was slow to gain stride, moved up on the outside to make his bid and finished strongly. HYPALONG vied for the lead from shortly after the start until the furlong post, could not match strides with the winner when challenged, but held on determinedly. UNREST had no excuse in a good effort. SECOND LOOK dueled for command and weakened in the final furlong. KASTER was through after a half mile. BENTROVATO flashed speed and quit, as did FRONTENAC. RIVER JORDAN lacked speed to remain prominent after breaking alertly, came to the outside when making his bid, then drew clear after disposing of the leaders. ALL BOOTS, sore going to the gate, was nicely rated Just off the leaders, went up to take command between calls in the final furlong, but was not good enough and came out of the race very sore. SNOW MAN shook off PACIFIC OCEAN leaving the turn and drew clear between calls in the stretch, then faltered from his early efforts. LEGATE lacked speed.
