Uruel PriCeS? THANK YOU SIR 5.OO 320 1.50 60 I GRANDMAS DAY 4.20 1.10 Winner Ch. g, by Cravat Flinette, by Flint Shot, trained by M.- A. Silagy, Jr.; bred" by M. B. Goff. WENT TO POST 5:30. OFF AT 5:301 CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. HABERDASHERY was taken back early, then moved strongly nearing the stretch turn and, coming well out from the rally in the stretch, finished very fast to catch THANK YOU SIR in the last twenty yards and won going away. THANK YOU SIR dropped far out of it in the-first quarter, but closed up with a rush to pass GRANDMAS DAY in the stretch and seemingly take an unsurmountable lead, but his rider appeared to become overconfident near the finish, inasmuch as he did not seem to sense that HABERDASHERY was charging on the outside until too late. GRANDMAS DAY showed the most speed for seven furlongs and her jockey, too, seemed to become overconfident in looking around after entering the stretch. HALLIEBOY weakned near the finish. KAY D00DY was in close quarters rounding the first turn. Overweight Thank You Sir, 1 pound; Grandmas Day, 1; Kay Doody, 1. NINTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES. HI-ETTA went to teh front at once and f showing good speed in the going made a show of her" field to win easily. SNATCHED saved ground to reach contention and went -well thereafter. CONVERSATIONAL dropped far out of it in the firts quarter and while closing considerable ground failed to threaten the first two. FOXPOISE raced evenly, but was not a threat.
