Identification Over Stall Gate DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., June 3. — The Puett starting gate at Delaware Park might now be called the "information gate:" So that the horses in the gate may be more easily identified, numbers above each stall now correspond with those worn by horses - and riders and their program numbers. Formerly, the 14 stalls were simply numbered 1 to 14, which was confusing in cases where a late scratch, an entry or_ "field" horses were concerned. Now, when coupled horses "2" and "2A" break from, say, the second and fifth stalls, they are identified that way by the numbers over their stalls. When there is a small field and the inside horse breaks from the fourth stall, the number oyer that horses stall is now "1" rather than "4." Patrons find this system much simpler for quick identification.
