Dearth of Apprentices ASCOT PARK, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, June 3. — For the opening day.racing at this plant there were but three apprentice riders available. P. Douglas had the leg up on Mrs. T. Brownings Fanars Son in the second race.. the second half of the Daily Double; J. Herrin rode A. F. Thomas Musical Play, and Alfred Trio guided the R and S Stables Arctic Ike. W. C. Prickett, Jr. is the trainer of the latter, and has leased the riding services of Trio from C. Locklear, who has the contract on the promising young saddlesmith.
