Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. LEGS got to the front early and, showing a liking for the going, increased his advantage in the first five furlongs, but was forced to a drive in the last sixteenth to hold SKY RANGER. The latter responded to hard riding through the stretch and was pressing at the end. MR. NEALIE was slow to get in stride, but made up ground gradually to finish well. OFF AT 2:12 CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won ridden out; second and third driving. GINGERBREAD was a good con-lender in the first half mile, then moved to catch GOOD STORY rounding the stretch turn and drew out, but was under pressure at the end to hold HASTY FREEDOMS. The latter began rather slowly and was badly outrun to the stretch turn, but came fast on the outside through the last eighth and was gaining. GOOD STORY drew out nearing the far turn but was not good enough for the first two. TAX LIEN was never too far removed and went steadily to the finish. TROPIC RAIDER made up ground. MANY GIFTS was well placed early and rated to the stretch, then came to the outside to catch RARE BID nearing the last sixteenth and drew out thereafter. RARE BID was close to the pace in the first half mile, then forged to the front after entering the stretch, but was no match for the winner in the going. RED SAM lacked his usual early speed and was in rather tight quarters in the first part, then found an opening on the stretch turn to race well thereafter. JIMMYS DOLL went steadily to the finish. ROYAL BONES was outrun early and made up some ground. HURRICANE and EL PACHO were used up making the pace. WELL WORTH IT soon forged to the front, was under light restraint while making the early pace and, drawing out when called upon in the stretch, was never in danger. HEUTEL dropped back to last place after going a quarter, but came very fast through the stretch. HALTOM also made up ground in the stretch to finish strongly on the inside. FOR RENT became the chief contender after entering the stretch, but appeared to falter near the finish. BLOOM was close enough tarty and also weakened. Overweight— Heutel, 1 pound; Bloom, 2. O KAYS SON was rated within striking distance of the leaders to the stretch, then saved much ground around the bend to catch ISOMUR in the final strides and best her narrowly in a driving finish. ISOMUR headed the field after entering the stretch and held on with determination in the final drive. RUMOR SIR was outrun to the last eighth, then came strongly. PLUNGER was permitted to drop far back of the leaders in the first half mile, then made a mild run nearing the stretch turn, but lost much ground on the bend and hung near the end. BUBBLEY was reserved in the early running while racing in the middle of the field, then made an opportune move after leaving the backstretch to find a wide opening next to the rail on the final turn and, dashing through to take command, drew away in the last sixteenth. EDDIE SUE demonstrated a fine turn of early speed and, although losing some ground on the stretch turn and not capable of holding the winner, was much the best of the others. MADAME ARCATI moved up between horses nearing the stretch turn and went steadily to the end to outfinish BIDDY JANE. The latter was off quickly and soon got to the front, but began to tire on the stretch turn and had little left at the finish. STEPHENS GIRL closed ground to finish well. CAJOLE was unable to keep up. TUONINE had some early speed. CELTIC PLAY was outpaced. BLUE JEANS and GIFTED GAL had fair speed to the stretch. HAPPY DEB and BEST MAID were badly outrun. RED CHARGER, closer up than usual in the early running, took after the pace setting HANNIBAL nearing the far turn and gaining gradually after leaving the backstretch, drew up on practically even terms with the latter, after straightening out for the stretch run, then bore out a trifle in the last sixteenth but got to the front near the end to win in a drive. HANNIBAL took a short lead soon after the start and increased it when OH LEO began to drop back, then saved ground around the last turn, but did not appear to be bothered when RED CHARGER bore in a trifle after entering the stretch and had free passage to the end, but was unable to last. His rider lodged claim of foul against RED CHARGER, which was not allowed. DARK COUNT lacked the early speed to keep up but finished gamely although well beaten by the first two. ESPINOS IMAGE moved up after entering the stretch and was going fairly well at the end. SHAG TAILS was in close quarters on the backstretch but raced evenly thereafter. ELJAY tired. OH LEO stopped badly and apparently did not like the going. SUGGESTED lacked speed at all times and seemingly also did not like the heavy track.
