Illinois Notes FAIRMOUNT PARK, Collinsville, HI . June 21. State steward Robert P. McAuliffe, at the local oval, is in Chicago and will return to take over his duties for the Fairmount Park opening. Associate steward George Molesworth is spending the idle period at his home in Virginia and will return to the Collinsville plant on June 23. Associate steward Thomas H. McCreery decided to remain over during the repair period and makes periodical calls to the stewards office to clear up minor affairs that arise. McCreery will be remembered as one of Americas leading trainers some years ago and trained for many fashionable stables. Ray Douglas, stall superintendent, announced that Mucho Manana, owned by J. A- Janicki. and Sam Birde, who races under Clyde Scotts colors, arrived from Arlington Park and will race here to the end of the meeting. B. G. Hooker purchased the five-year-old horse Mucho Manana from the partners, A. and T. A. Janicki at private terms M. B. Turner will train for the new owner. The veteran jockey Wally Humes spent the past two weeks getting his farm, located on the outskirts of St. Louis, in shape for the stabling of horses this winter. Humes announced that he and William Brinson would once more represent the jockeys guild at this track.
