PAMPAS BEAUTY failed to menace the winner while clearly best of the others. NONA BELLE wore down MANY ISLANDS. The latter moved from far back, then weakened. SULEIMAN outran FOUR CHANCES for the lead along the backstretch, drew clear on the turn and held sway under intermittent pressure. ABBOTTS -TOWN responded to pressure, but was unable to reach the leader. AWARE raced evenly. JUNGLE WIND raced well to the stretch and flattened out when set down for the final drive. MILLDALE broke tardily and failed to settle into stride. FOUR CHANCES challenged for the lead along the inside in the run down the backstretch then quit. Scratched— 607413 Prince Cole, 112. BE GRACIOUS held a commanding advantage after a half mile, was no match for the winner, but lasted over LITTLE IMP. The latter lacked a menacing rally. ADOPT was unable to reach contention.
