Process Films at Delaware Races in Three Half Minutes MinutesDELAWARE DELAWARE PARK Stanton Del June 5 Delaware Park whose 32day race meeting will continue through July 4 has introduced another innovation this season which adds to the efficiency and purpose of film patrol and benefits stewards jockeys and public It was conceived and worked out by Lester Bernd head of Dela ¬ ware Parks film patrol and press photog ¬ raphy The movies which depict all stages of the races here are processed in three and a half minutes instead of the almost six minutes formerly required Faster service without impairing the quality of the pictures means a shorter delay in an ¬ nouncing an official decision in cases of a foul claim or inquiry inquirySome Some seven years of study experimenta ¬ tion and research has gone into develop ¬ ment of film patrol and Delaware Park was one of the first and now one of the few to own and operate its own President Donald P Ross and vicepresidentgeneral manager Bryan Field authorized the de ¬ sign and purchase of special new equip ¬ ment Thus developed one of the finest photographic departments at any race track in the country countryShortly Shortly before the meeting opened May 29 Ross Field Steward Cal Rainey and other officials witnessed a demonstration of the latest processing operation which Jias since been satisfactorily tested during the meeting
