Commission Rulings RulingsReported Reported to DAILY RACING FORM DETROIT RACE COURSE Livonia Mich June 5 Effective June 6 1953 Rule 58 of the State of Michigan Rules of Horse Racing shall read as follows 58 In purse races horses that are physically disabled shall be excused first Should more than ten 10 in ¬ terests remain in the first two 2 races or more than eight 8 interests remain in the remainder of the races owners or trainers may declare out to those numbers by the specified scratch time the day of the race such right to be determined by lot when necessary
