Asks Commission to Pick I Charles for Title Match NEW YORK N Y June 5 UP Tom Tannas comanager of exheavyweight champion Ezzard Charles asked the New York Boxing Commission today to pick his fighter as the challenger for a September title fight with Rocky Marciano MarcianoChairman Chairman Robert Christenberry said his board did not have the responsibility of selecting a challenger except when the six months period for a title defense had elapsed Marciano defended against Jersey Poe Walcott May 15 15Christenberry Christenberry said however that the commission must approve any challenger and that it would approve either Charles or Roland La Starza StarzaTannas Tannas then suggested that the commis ¬ sion order Charles and La Starza to fight in July to determine which should get the September shot Christenberry replied that the commission could not order and such challengers fight
