PADDOCK PARADE By JOE THOMAS LEXINGTON Ky May 1 To maintain a well integrated stud it is 7 for breeders to add new blood continually This is done through importa ¬ tions private pur chases or often through the yearling sales The private breeding establish ¬ ments whose racing stables usually are made up of homebreds make frequent forays into the yearling mar ¬ kets for fillies which it is honed will show enough on the race course to earn a place in their broodmare bands or colts whose backgrounds suggest future sire potential potentialGreentree Greentree Stud made one such purchase last summer when at Keeneland it paid 25000 for C A Kenneys chestnut colt by Heliopolis Pandora Should the colt make good on the race course he could be a valu ¬ able addition to the Greentree sire ranks since he would offer a good outcross for most of its mares maresNamed Named Gold Box the youngster showed well in his Aiken trials and was favored to win his racing debut last week at Belmont He failed by a neck of catching Walter Jef ¬ fords Cub Scout Ironically his conqueror is by the Greentree sire Shut Out OutA A A A ABrbokmeade Brbokmeade Farms run of 1954 colts at Crown Crest was broken
