Beulah Park Files Request For May 8 Starting Time TimeCOLUMBUS COLUMBUS Ohio May 1 The State Racing Commission office here is in receipt of a request from Robert J Dienst presi ¬ dent and general manager of Beulah Park that the board grant Beulah a permit to race Saturday May 8 8Beulah Beulah originally requested May 8May 31 for a 20day session but the Commission headed by Zoltan Gombos sheared the first day from the schedule and granted the track 19 days May 10 through May 31 31A A decision by Judge Charles S Bell of the Hamilton County Common Pleas Court recently that the Commission acted illegally and arbitrarily in clipping two days from the River Downs schedule prompted Dienst to write the board boardEd Ed Corrigan secretary of the Commis ¬ sion said the next meeting of the group will be Monday May 10 He said it was pos ¬ sible but hardly probable that Beulahs request would be considered by the Com ¬ mission before that date dateJudge Judge Bells decision however will allow River Downs to open Friday June 4 in ¬ stead of Monday June
