Phelps Fractures Foot DETROIT RACE COURSE, Livonia, Mich., June 16. Apprentice Bill Phelps will be unable to fill his riding engagements for some time, due to a fractured toe on his left foot. Phelps received the injury Tuesday, when W. C. Gillens two-year-old-filly, Sherry Lee, swerved into the inner rail after the start of the third race. Dr. I. J. Palmisano, track physician, is attending thp. young reinsman.
