DARROL BEAU raced evenly to the stretch, finished z fast when set down in the drive and was up to dispose of the leaders in the last sixteenth. PIGEONETTE, -well placed from the outset, reached the lead between calls during the stretch run but was unable to withstand the winner. PEGGY D., rank during the post parade, took command soon after the start, set the pace to the last ieighth mile, then faltered. LIMIT GREENIE lacked early foot but closed strongly when sent to the inside for the drive. BEITEL, much used engaging PEGGY D. until inside the stretch, weakened during the final furlong. WICKED GIRL gave way after racing forwardly placed to the stretch. VYR began fast but failed to" stay. COMPENSATOR was outrun and had no mishap. DUKES DUCHESS showed nothing. WHAT A PEACH stumbled at the break, moved up boldly on the outside nearing the stretch, then tired. LILAC lacked early foot and drifted out during the drive.
