Stewards Rulings LINCOLN FIELDS, Crete 111., June 16. Three jockeys received 10-day suspensions by the stewards here today for rough riding in yesterdays racing. They were apprentice jockey Ronald Behrens and jockeys Alfred Popara and Henry Perez, their suspensions being in effect from June 18 to June 29, inclusive. DETROIT RACE COURSE, Livonia, Mich., June 16. The board of stewards recommended and Michigan Racing Commissioner James H. Inglis approved that trainer James B. Floyd be suspended 10 days from June 18 to June 27, inclusive, for negligence in bringing the wrong horse to the paddock for the third race on June 15, 1954. MONMOUTH PARK, Oceanport, N. J., June 16. The stewards this afternoon issued the following ruling: "Jockey John Choquette is suspended for 10 racing days June 18th through June 29th for careless riding after leaving the gate in the first race, Monday, the 14th, 1954, at Monmouth Park." THISTLEDOWN, North Randall, Ohio, June - 16. The ThistleDown stewards issued the following rulings here today: "Apprentice jockey B. Serido is this day suspended 10 days effective June 17, to and including June 26, for permitting his mount Sand Fly in the eighth race to drift out during the stretch run, causing interference. "Apprentice jockey Floyd Green is this day fined 0 fifty dollars for causing interference leaving the gate in the second race, Tuesday, June 15." WATERFORD PARK, Chester, W. Va., June 16. The stewards issued the following ruling here today: "Trainer Alberto Martinez is fined 0 for negligence in failing to check The Jockey Club certificate of foal registration, of horses in his charge." WOODBINE PARK, Toronto, Ont., June 16. The Woodbine stewards issued the following ruling: "Jockey Eric Barber is suspended for five days June 18-23rd inclusive, for not making sufficient effort to prevent his mount from crowding the inside horses at the four and a half furlongs pole in the first race on Tuesday, June 15th." THISTLEDOWN, North Randall, Ohio, June 16. The ThistleDown stewards issued the following ruling here today: "Jockey Robert Majors is this day fined 5.00 for making a frivolous claim of foul in the fourth race."
