OFF AT 3:46 EASTERN STANDARD TIME. - Start good. Won driving; second and third the same. HI BOB dropped back after beginning alertly, was sent to the extreme outside for the stretch run and. finishing fast under punishment, wore down the leaders in the last sixteenth. SMART EVE, never far back, took command after three-eighths mile, settled for the drive with a short lead and held on gamely, but could not withstand the winner. ALEIF, a keen factor from the outset, gave a sharp effort and had no mishap. LETS THINK raced well and had no excuse. KASLICK lacked early speed. FIRE was outrun. INFAITH saved ground from the start, but failed to rally when set down in the drive. PHAROS DREAM showed nothing after beginning alertly. FAIR STRIKE was never dangerous. WAIT UP gave a dull effort and was far back the entire trip. END TABLE broke well, but dropped out of serious contention immediately after the start. WILD HEIRESS had early speed, but failed to stay. Won ridden out; second and third driving. MISS BOXER went to the front entering the stretch, responded readily when ridden out and won going away. BOLD SPOT raced evenly and within striking distance of the leaders to the stretch, finished willingly but could not reach the top one, although easily best of the others. GIN-MAR began fast, raced well until inside the stretch, then faltered. BLAZER HORNET tired during the stretch run. CHRIS ALMO, on the outside throughout, failed to rally when set down for the drive. MISS VOODOO, rank during the post parade, raced wide and was never dangerous. CUTE WAY was outrun and had no excuse. BRO. BRANCH had no mishap. DOGOON took command at once, settled in the stretch with a good lead over FLEET PATH, then drew clear while under-strong handling. FLEET PATH saved ground while racing nearest DOGOON after the start, but was not good enough for the winner but held on well to best the others. BUMPSY UP could not better his position when set down through the stretch. TIMELY STORY had early speed but failed to stay. TRIPLE BELLS lacked early foot COLLEONI had no excuse. WHIRLING BAT, outrun early, was sent to the outside for the stretch run and, responding to energetic handling, wore down the leaders during the final furlong. NEPAL gradually worked way forward to the stretch, closed gamely when set down in the drive, but was not good enough for the winner. THIRTY-ONE, outrun early and racing wide, finished fast when straightened for the stretch run. STAR SHOW gave a good effort and had no mishap. HALRACK raced forwardly placed to the final furlong, then weakened. FREE LUNCH began fast, was in close guarters approaching the stretch, settled for the drive with a short lead, but failed to stay.
