LADY ROUNDERS saved ground working forwardly From a slow beginning and luckily found an opening when the leaders swung out on the stretch turn, and wore down OFFICE PARTY at the end. The latter easily showed the most speed, appeared safely in from midstretch, but faltered. TITANS MATCH was well placed and failed to respond for the drive. MIDST responded mildly for the drive. ROLLICKING LAD was lightly urged to shake off early contention, steadily increased his advantage into the last sixteenth, then was eased up and won with neck bowed. LORD JEFF steadily improved positon from a slow beginning and finished fast to narrowly best the others. KAM-PEI was steered to the outside for the drive and finished well. ROCK DOZER was a forward factor and weakened. LIGHT RON raced well for a half mile and weakened. CABLET stopped early. BULL X. was smartly reserved behind the top pair, slipped through next to the rail in the stretch run and disposed of his rivals when roused. YARN, steadied closest to his stablemate, assumed command when ready on the stretch turn, but weakened slightly when placed under punishment. TOCSIN, alertly sent to the front, was not unduly pressed when displaced by YARN and then could not stay when urged to meet the challenge cf the winner in the last eighth. NEW DREAM was close to the leaders while under a pull down the backstretch, easily moved to make his challenge from the outside in the stretch and rapidly opened a long lead in handy fashion. LANDSEAIR raced along freely setting the pace, gave, way to INFLUENCE on the final turn, then responded to urging and fought it out with NEW DREAM into the last eighth, but was faltering fast in the last forty yards. DINNER WINNER lacked early speed and could not get up under punishment through the last quarter mile. INFLUENCE pressed the paoe from the inside while snugly restrained, reached the front on the stretch turn, but suddenly quit when headed by the winner. RAM 0 WAR could not keep up. DUC DE FER was smartly rated behind I APPEAL, was guided around that one to challenge on the final turn, assumed command without difficulty and gradually drew out under hand urging. I APPEAL outbroke the field and was nicely restrained until sHtled into stride, then saved all possible ground and, although no iandUch for the winner, continued determinedly. FIRST AID steadily improved his position working between horses, quickly disposed of BETTER GOODS taking command from the outside at the head of the stretch, then responded when punished to meet the challenge of CLOSED DOOR in the last sixteenth and was evenly holding that rival safe at the end. CLOSED DOOR saved ground gradually making up distance, came around RESILIENT to make his bid in the stretch, then was not good enough for the winner. RESILIENT moved between rivals to take a slight advantage over the first flight entering the backstretch; was rated into the final straightaway, then weakened. BETTER GOODS had good speed and easily assumed the lead at the far turn, then suddenly weakened when called upon for the stretch drive. BUCK N GEE quit. BOOK MATCH was sluggish and outrun a half mile, came between horses with a stretch rally and closed too late. FAT BOY was snugly rated to the final turn, then weakened when challenged by the winner. MOUCHE raced to the leaders under restraint, was rated alon-j with SANDYS CHANCE on the final turn, then drew away when put to pressure. SANDYS CHANCE was rated setting the pace, faltered rapidly near the end and just lasted to best HIYA BABE. The latter was not a factor until the stretch, then closed with belated speed. RINGOLD could not keep up after a half mile, but continued evenly and gained on the tiring leaders. VALENTINOIS raced in spots. WILD HAL quit.
